- What's a security slot and how does it work?
- Security slots are small oval openings that are found on almost all laptops
and desktop computers. PC Guardian locks fit into your computer's security
slot and securely latch onto the internal casing of your computer to

- How do I register my lock?
- PC Guardian offers a free Online Registration service
that allows you to securely register your key number or your personal combination.
If you ever lose your key, you can re-order it through our registration system,
and if you forget your password you can look it up any time. Please note:
PC Guardian does not independently track key or combination numbers. It is
your responsibility to register. If you lose your keys and don't have your
key number, or if you forget your combination and have not registered, we
will not be able to send you a replacement key or provide you with your combination.
- How do I view my info once I've registered?
- Simply Log In to your registered account at yourpcguardian.com by clicking the "Log In" tab in the top menu. You will be able to view your key number or combination, and you can reorder a key directly from your account.
- How do I install or unlock my lock?
- PC Guardian locks are easy to use by lassoing around a secure object and locking into your computer's security slot. For complete directions, refer to the instructions that came with your lock our download them here: Keyed Lock Instructions | Combo Lock Instructions
- What if something happens to my lock?
- PC Guardian Keyed and Combo Computer locks come with a Limited Lifetime Warranty. Read more for the full warranty.
